Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Final Draft (6/18/2010)
Natural disasters can be damaging to life and property. Rebuilding and repairing is extremely costly. In the past, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has helped Sweet Grass County repair damages from natural disasters.
A Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan (PDM Plan) was written and approved in 2005. As part of FEMA's continuing effort to help counties in emergency situations we are required to update our PDM Plan. Without updating our current plan FEMA will no longer help us pay for repairs. Will you help us update our plan?
We need public input to determine all projects that can prevent damage caused by natural disasters. If you have any ideas or comments please contact the DES Office at 932-3011.
